Children are like sponges. They absorb things quickly and easily and parents can sometimes see a difference in their kids after just one martial arts class. Each additional class they attend increases their knowledge and growth. Not only are they getting healthier as they learn martial arts, they’re also learning the value of self-discipline and respect. At KMAA your child will develop essential skills that they can apply to all areas of life. From building excellent concentration, to making them full of self confidence, working on social skills and teamwork. They also build mental and physical fitness that provides the building blocks for adulthood.
We are incredibly proud of our Teenager Programme and how it empowers our young adults as they progress through to adulthood. We empower them with confidence and self esteem, as well as self defence techniques and skills that will prepare them against physical danger and peer pressure. Our teenagers are confident and excel at school. Many have trained for over 10 years in the martial arts.
Martial arts training is for any age, and is a fantastic sport to undertake as an adults. From fitness, self defence and building your confidence and releasing stress, martial arts if the perfect activity to undertake. Our Seniors come from all walks of life, and are parents, professionals, students who have trained from an early age to our oldest members who are in their 60's.

Yes! Our classes are perfect for people who haven’t been working out as well as people who have. We hire instructors who can work with you to help you build the exercise habit for your entire family regardless of what your current fitness level is.
We start children from 4.5 yrs upwards in our Taekwondo classes. Children from 6 years old can attend kickboxing and children from 8 years old can attend Hapkido self defence.
Absolutely. In fact, martial arts moves are ideal for self-defense because they teach kids (and adults) to leverage their opponent’s body weight to defend themselves.
Short answer; absolutely not! We have members of all health and fitness levels, and our classes are designed to fit around each one of these levels.
The only thing we ask is that you bring your best attitude when you come to one of our classes. If you have the mental framework determined to become physically healthy, that is all we want to see. Our trainers will help you get into the best shape of your life!
For your trial sessions we ask you to wear a tshirt and joggers, or leggings. Something that is comfortable to train in. Also bring a bottle of water for class. And of course bring the mental attitude that you’re going to love your class!
We totally nderstand how busy everyones life can be; but we highly advise at least two sessions a week for children and adults within martial arts and fitness classes, for you to learn and grow and also build fitness from.
We offer 1 class a week for martial arts and our fitness classes, but please be advised it will take you, your child to progress slower than those training twice a week or more!
Martial arts training teaches focus, discipline, self-control, and respect. These traits help children let go of petty grievances and learn to pay attention to the things that are most important to their future success. Kids who study martial arts learn that hard and persistent work pays off. Each small success helps children believe in themselves and have faith they can achieve their next goal.
